The 2022 National RAP Conference is a unique opportunity for RAP members, policymakers, academics, and community leaders to connect and be brave in their commitments to reconciliation.
Brave Together draws on the National Reconciliation Week 2022 theme Be Brave. Make Change. The theme challenges us all to continue the unfinished work of reconciliation.
Since the Reconciliation Action Plan program launched 15 years ago, the network has grown to over 2000 organisations impacting close to 4 million people in Australia every day.
Our RAP partners comprise a vast community and collaborative effort to take Australia forward into a just, equitable and reconciled future.
Program
The conference program features two-days of plenaries and breakout sessions designed to inspire.
Professor Peter Yu will deliver the opening address of the 2022 National RAP Conference.
Plenary sessions invite us to discover together, new insights into brave action that will transform our workplaces and our futures. Hear from RAP leaders such as Andy Penn (Telstra), Aleem Ali (Welcoming Australia), Joshua Gilbert (Reconciliation NSW), Shona Reid (Reconciliation SA), Andrew Gunstone (Swinburne University) and Barbara Sheehy (Australia Post).
Breakout sessions are an opportunity be part of dialogues and discussions with experienced Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders from the reconciliation movement and RAP partner organisations.
Indigenous Governance Awards Gala Dinner
Celebrate excellence in Indigenous governance at the 2022 Indigenous Governance Awards gala dinner on Wednesday 8 June.
Hear the powerful stories of the nine finalist organisations, as well as from inspirational speakers and performances. The award winners will be announced that night.
Tickets to the gala dinner are sold individually or as part of the full conference pass.
Industry Networking
The 2022 National RAP Conference is a natural venue to meet with your industry cohorts within the RAP network and there’ll be specific industry networking opportunities during lunch breaks.
The networking lunch on the first day will be an informal ‘get-to-know-you’ event for building connections and welcoming newer organisations.
The day two networking lunch allows for more formal conversations in designated rooms for specific industries.
Watch out for more information on the networking lunches.
The conference will kick off with a welcome event at 5pm on Tuesday 7 June in The Lighthouse Gallery where you can take in the sweeping views of Darling Harbour to the tunes of special musical guest Miiesha.
The Australian National Maritime Museum is an Innovate RAP partner and conference venue sponsor.
The 2022 National RAP Conference will run on Wednesday and Thursday 8-9 June and will mark the first time since 2019 that the RAP network will gather in-person.
Join us for this two-day event as we come together to learn, collaborate, and commit to braver action for a just, equitable and reconciled Australia.
