Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
Check out the events below and see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.
Yeronga Hyde Road Kindergarten is celebrating 75th years in operation on the 1st June 2024 and the children, staff and families are inviting the local community to contribute to the sea of hearts installation developed by the children, staff and families to represent their understandings and commitment to reconciliation.
The celebration begins with an acknowledgement of country followed by a cultural performance by Songwoman Maroochy at 11am. This will be followed by a variety of children’s activities, a performance by indigenous children’s performer Lucas Proudfoot, and a visit from local community emergency services. There will be a variety of food and refreshment options available across the day. Then it will finish up at 3pm.
