Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
Check out the events below and see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.
The four-week ‘Soulful Home’ poetry Residency, led by Tikari Rigney in May, explored the concept of ‘home’ in various contexts such as environment, displacement, the feeling of home within oneself, and the relationships with people and places. This performance, coinciding with Reconciliation Week, is Tikari’s final presentation, showcasing through poetry the insights gained about what constitutes a ‘soulful home’ for the workshop participants. This project aligns with the spirit of reconciliation by fostering understanding and reflection on the diverse experiences and meanings of ‘home,’ and the connection to identity, and community.
