The 2021 Australian Reconciliation Convention, the first national reconciliation gathering in more than 20 years, will continue as a highly interactive online experience, accessible from anywhere in Australia.
The Convention will be live-streamed over three half-days exclusively via EventCast, an award-winning and immersive event platform, from Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 November.
“We had always planned for the Convention program to be a rewarding and accessible experience for all – whether experienced in-person or online,” said Reconciliation Australia CEO Karen Mundine.
“Our ticket sales had already reflected interest in both of those experiences.
“While we understand how much everyone – including us – was looking forward to meeting in person, we will come together in the most safe, informative and engaging way for the Convention to proceed in the current environment.
“Building on our experience in delivering online events in the past 18 months, we have adjusted the original two-day program to three half-days, ensuring the most accessible experience across all time zones.
“Reconciliation is more than just raising awareness and knowledge. The Australian Reconciliation Convention will take us to a place of brave action through brave discussions.”
