Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
Check out the events below and see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.
Join us for this beginner-friendly class, led by Wardandi Bibbulmun woman Dale Tilbrook.
You will learn about the meaning behind the symbolic shapes and colour combinations used in traditional artworks, as well as try out the dot painting application technique for yourself. Once you’ve mastered these new skills, you’ll be able to unleash your inner artist and design and paint your own artwork.
As you get creative with your paintbrush, Dale will also teach you about the Dreamtime stories and the distinctive parts of Aboriginal culture and way of life.
