Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
Check out the events below and see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.
To commemorate National Reconciliation Week, the facade of the Australian Parliament House will be illuminated in moving shapes and colours depicting ancient Australian landscapes. The illumination is inspired by the artwork of acclaimed artist Keturah Zimran OAM.
Keturah Zimran OAM is an Arrernte, Luritja and Puntupi artist. Her artwork ‘Puli Puli – The Rocks (2019)’ represents the landscape’s eroded forms, organic shapes and rock formations that can be found in and around Haasts Bluff in the Northern Territory.
Her artwork has a distinctive and bold stule that is renowned both nationally and internationally.
For 3 nights only, come and see this breathtaking artwork come to life.
