Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
Check out the events below and see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.
In an industry dominated by non-Indigenous people, brands, journalists and storytelling, this webinar will explore what people in communications can do – as individuals and organisations – to strengthen our work towards reconciliation. We will look at what’s working, what’s not and what we can do better, and how we can work together to create a more equitable future through the stories we tell.
This Reconciliation Week, hear from two leading First Nations voices:
– CEO of the Koori Mail, Nyangbal, Arakwal and Dunghutti woman, Naomi Moran.
– Professor and head of Macquarie University’s Department of Critical Indigenous Studies, Aboriginal woman Bronwyn Carlson.
The webinar will be hosted by non-Indigenous woman and CEO of SUADA, Naomi Brooker, who has been working closely with Indigenous organisations for more than a decade. Naomi is completing her PhD on the impact of racial literacy on the leadership and performance of C-suite executives.
