Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
Check out the events below and see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.
National Reconciliation Week’s theme for 2024, Now More Than Ever, is a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will and must continue.
Since the referendum, Teach For Australia has been reflecting on the devastating outcome and the significance of this moment in Australia’s history. What has been made clear and what we have heard from First Nations communities, leaders and people, is the need to centre Truth-Telling as fundamental and foundational in the journey towards reconciliation.
With this and the theme “Now more than ever” in mind, we will be hosting a panel discussion with First Nations leaders and educators and allies to discuss the question: What is Truth-Telling and how can organisations and individuals undertake this process?
