Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).

The National Centre for Reconciliation, Truth, and Justice invites you to the second in our 2024 Public Lecture Series, which showcases our academic’s transformational research.
In this event, Jesse Fleay, Research Associate at the National Centre and PhD Scholar, will present on his research on the Voice Referendum, Republicanism, and Reconciliation.
This lecture is part of a broader event on the Republic, which is being jointly organised by the National Centre and the National Republic Convention, and will feature Matt Thistlethwaite MP, Assistant Minister for the Republic, and Professors Emma Lee and Andrew Gunstone from the National Centre.
Jesse Fleay is an experienced Noongar writer and research specialist across major policy areas. He was a signatory co-author to the Uluru Statement from the Heart in 2017, which was awarded the Sydney Peace Prize in 2021. This year, Jesse co-hosted Global Citizen on Narrm country with Julia Gillard and Michael Sheldrick.
