Every year workplaces, schools, early learning services, community groups, reconciliation groups, and people right across the country host a whole range of activities and events during National Reconciliation Week (NRW).
Check out the events below and see how you can mark NRW at an event near you.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
Please note: the events posted below are not the responsibility of Reconciliation Australia. If you have any questions regarding an event, please contact the organisers.
A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) helps change systems and contribute to the community of Australians who are engaged and supportive of First Nations people and reconciliation. In 2023, just over 5.4 million Australians worked or studied in an organisation which had a RAP.
We have invited representatives from three organisations working in the history and heritage field to talk about the process of developing their RAP, what it has achieved, what they have learnt, and how historians have contributed to the RAP.
The session is online only.
Speakers:
Dr Peter Hobbins, Royal Australian Historical Society
Sharon Veale, CEO, GML Heritage
Brett Adlington, CEO, Museums and Galleries of NSW
